Curt is a principal in the firm’s estate planning practice, helping individuals and families design personalized wills, trusts, and long-term legacy strategies.

A trusted expert in estate planning and legal ethics, Curt is nationally recognized for his deep understanding of how the law, technology, and modern family dynamics intersect in planning for the future. He frequently advises clients on advanced trust design, asset protection, and multigenerational wealth transfer.


In addition to his client work, Curt is a respected authority on legal ethics and the business of law, known for his expertise in attorney fee-sharing compliance and innovation in legal practice management. He also counsels law firms and legal tech startups on ethical frameworks, compliance strategy, and sustainable growth.


Curt began his legal career at Irell & Manella LLP in Los Angeles, where he worked on complex civil litigation matters including securities, antitrust, and intellectual property disputes.


He earned his J.D. from UCLA School of Law, where he was a Michael T. Masin Scholar and Staff Editor of the Entertainment Law Review. Curt is admitted to practice in California, New York, Texas, Florida, D.C., Washington, Illinois, Colorado, Oregon, and Michigan.


Curt has been recognized multiple times as a Super Lawyers Rising Star and was named California Lawyer of the Year (CLAY Award) by The Daily Journal. He was also honored as Pro Bono Attorney of the Year by USC Law School’s Public Interest Law Fund. Curt currently teaches Legal Ethics and Law Firm Management as an adjunct professor at DePaul College of Law in Chicago.
